Replace Name on Top by an Image

February 16, 2007

This code will hide your name on top of profile, instead of it, it allows you to use an image to place the name.
Replace the code image width to your image’s width; image height to your imgae’s height;replace image url here to the image’s url.
So, for example, you would like to replace the name text with this image: http://www.site.com/image.jpg, the image is 300px * 100px size. You will need to change the code to width: 300px; height: 100px; background-image:url(‘http://www.site.com/image.jpg’);, the rest remains same.

Instructions:

1. Copy and paste the code into About Me section
2. <style type="text/css">
.nametext {
display:block;
width:(image width)px;
height:(image height)px;
background-image:url('image url here');
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
}
</style>

3. Save your editing and preview. Done. =)

It’s not working, wich sucks ass.
But um do you have any other suggestions?

3. M3Li55@ Says:

Actually… It DOES work.

However, there are a couple errors on the script.

Here is the corrected script (using my examples):
.nametext {
display:block;
width:200px;
height:86px;
background-image:url(“http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/8416/signaturemyspacetz5.png”);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
}
4. M3Li55@ Says:

Take 2 on quoting code (I’m not familiar with this here platform:

.nametext {
display:block;
width:200px;
height:86px;
background-image:url(“http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/8416/signaturemyspacetz5.png”);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
}

yess it is shit it jus blocks
ya name n you cant c shit
thats gamin

51. Smash Says:

For all of you idiots that don’t know how to do a damn thing this works fine…..you’re just to stupid to figure it out. If you have other code in your profile make sure you use seperate style tags. EG:

.nametext {
display:block;
width:280px;
height:59px;
background-image:url(“http://img999.imageshack.us/img999/9999/Image.png”);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;

table, tr, td {
background-color:transparent;
}

table, tr, td {
background-color:transparent;
border:none;
border-width:0px;
}

table table table {
width:100%; max-width: 600px; } table table table table { width:100%;;
}

body, .bodyContent {
background-image:url(http://img999.imageshack.us/img999/9999/Background.png);
background-position:Center Center;
background-attachment:fixed;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
border-width:0px;
border-style:Solid;
cursor:default;
}

table table {
border:0px;
}

table table table table {
border:0px;
background-image:none;
background-color:transparent;
}

table table table {
border-style:Solid;
border-width:0px;
background-image:url(http://content.pimp-my-profile.com/tp/aaaaaa-70-tp.png);
background-repeat:repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;
}

table, tr, td, li, p, div,.text,.redtext, .blacktext12 {
color:000000;
}

.whitetext12, .orangetext15 {
color:ffffff;
}

.lightbluetext8, .blacktext10, .redbtext,.btext {
color:000000;
}

.nametext {
color:000000;
}

img {
filter:none;
}

It should work fine as long as you use seperate style tags like I said

52. fuck Says:

you up there, suck too.

53. Rhonda Says:

Here’s the 2.0 version for those of you using it:

div.basicInfoModule div.basicInfoDetails h2 {
background-image:url(http://yourimagehere.com);
background-repeat:no-repeat; color: transparent; position:relative; line-height: 1.32cm;
}

It works provided your image isn’t over over 50px high. The image I used is 150×50. If it’s the wrong size for what you’re using, just adjust the “line-height” portion by small increments accordingly.
